Student Credit Card

West Bengal Student Credit Card Scheme is an initiative launched by the Government of West Bengal to provide financial support to students pursuing higher education. This scheme aims to make education accessible and affordable by offering collateral-free loans with minimal interest.

Key Features

Loan Amount: Up to ₹10 lakhs
Interest Rate: 4% per annum (simple interest)
Loan Tenure: Up to 15 years with 1-year moratorium after course completion
Collateral-Free: No security or guarantor required
Eligibility: For students studying in India or abroad

Eligibility Criteria

Resident of West Bengal for at least 10 years
Indian citizen, aged ≤ 40 years
Passed Class 10 or equivalent
Enrolled in a recognized institution in India or abroad

Expenses Covered:

Tuition and hostel fees
Books, laptops, educational tools
Travel expenses for overseas study
